Jesus Loves You:
Which is why He made this
Promise
"Behold, I stand at the
door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will
come into him and dine with him, and he with Me."
Revelation 3:20
Here we are told
that Jesus Christ (literally) Stands at the Door (of our hearts) and
"knocks."
And at various other
places in Scripture we are told similar things: i.e. that we must seek
Him, or Call upon Him, and/or be willing to obey Him.
That's because God
is Loving, and the very nature of Love is that it is voluntary.
In other words God won't force Himself upon, or into the lives of
those who don't want Him. And yet we are also told that He will
someday judge all men: some for their belief and obedience, and others
for their disbelief, willful ignorance, and disobedience.
The Bible tells us
very clearly that Jesus Christ played a very intimate part in all of
Creation, and that He also later became a man, and that if He was
lifted up that He would draw all men to Himself. John 12:32
So the decision is
yours. Either you can be thankful and obedient to the Judge who
also shed His blood
for your sins, and ask Him to save you from the power of death and the
penalty of your sins, or you can ignore Him in this life, and then
tell Him why you chose to do so when you stand before Him.
Perhaps He'll understand, and accept your excuse, or perhaps
not.
My Advice is that
you NOT take His Love and Sacrifice for you for granted, but that you
humble yourself before Him and ask for His help, and be willing to
follow and obey Him in this life.
