The Sun will be enshrouded in Black Smoke
About two years ago (i.e. the summer of 2004) I woke up remembering the vivid details of the following dream.
I looked outside my house and saw virtually the whole neighborhood standing in the street and looking up at the sky on a cloudless day. It was about noon. So I went outside to see what they were all looking at. And there I witnessed the sun spewing out large clouds of (what appeared to be dark gray or black smoke). And within about 30 minutes the whole sun was covered in smoke, and it was no longer visible. This whole process took less than an hour.
And that was the end of the dream. And then about two weeks ago I was at a Home Bible study and one of the guys who spoke directed us to Amos 8:11, so I opened my Bible up to Amos chapter 8, and as he was speaking, I went back to verse 9 and began reading. And there I read an account of the same thing I had a dream about.
Since then I have looked up other verses that speak of the sun becoming darkened, and the Moon looking like Blood. For example Joel 2:31. Here's a Link. See also Rev. 6:12-17.
How far are we away from this event is anybody's guess. I personally think that it will happen in my lifetime simply because that is the only reason I can think of as to why the Lord would give me that specific dream, and because He wanted me to share it with those who are seeking Him that the time is drawing near, and to warn those who are not seeking Him to wake up. I also think that the time of the Lord's return is getting close simply because of a number of things that are taking place right before our eyes. These are:
* The Sun is acting weird. It has a 1.3 year (weird) interior "spin cycle" and an 11 year outer solar flare and magnetic reversal cycle, or at least it did (???). Also, in May of 1999 the solar wind mysteriously stopped for two days, and then started up again. NASA has also admitted it. In addition, the most recent solar Minimum looks similar to its last Maximum, and the Sun's (overall) magnetic field has more than doubled in the past 100 years. * The Third Temple is going to be rebuilt: at least according to the Old Testament prophets, and Jesus, and the apostle Paul.
How close are we?
My guess is that it will be rebuilt in the next 10 years, and perhaps even in the next three. See Links below for more on why it appears we are getting so close. For those who doubt that it will be rebuilt, consider the following excerpt below. It refers to an earthquake that occurred in Israel on Feb. 11, 2004.
"Thanks to the G–d Israel they really started to fall when He answered our marches and demonstrations on the Temple Mount and created an earthquake in February this year and as a result of it a huge crack appeared along the eastern wall of the Temple Mount including the location of the Golden Gate through which Mashiach ben David will enter. Another large bulge appeared on the southern wall from where millions of Israeli pilgrims entered the Temple Mount. One of the walls in the Western Wall area collapsed and pieces of stone started to fall even from the Western Wall where Jews pray today. Engineers have stated that the walls cannot be repeatedly repaired for a long time and will eventually collapse. It is so important to share what I heard together with all the people of Israel that in the near future another major earthquake, which will be much stronger that the one in February will occur in Israel and the focus of it will be on the Temple Mount. What is even more exciting is that as a result of the February earthquake, no building in Israel was damaged besides the roof of the Dome of the Rock and the ceiling of the office of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon in the Knesset. It was a clear message of G–d to the Arabs and Moslems to leave the Temple Mount sooner than even it is possible before He will do it in a terrible day of Judgement on them. It was also a clear message to Prime Minister Sharon to answer the call of G–d, not to fear anyone in the world but only to trust the G—d of Israel to remove the enemy of the G—d and people of Israel from Mt. Moriah and to purify the Temple Mount and to rebuild the house of G–d." Emphasis Added

* The Coming Oil Crisis, by C. J. Campbell. Some experts have said that by the year 2029 EVERY drop of oil that was ever discovered will be burned up, and long before that time, the price of oil will skyrocket. In other words, $200, $300, $400 per barrel and more is on the horizon. In addition, the world currently can produce about 85 million barrels of oil per day, and the world markets burn up about the same amount (i.e. 84-85 million barrels a day). However, the world demand for oil has been steadily growing at the rate of 2-3% per year, and isn't likely to stop -- meaning that the price of oil will almost certainly be going up, up, up, while all sorts of alternative energy sources will be sought out, and expanded.
